The delegation was formed by Vice-President of Jinan University Professor Zhang Hong, Dean of International Studies/Academy of Overseas Chinese Studies School of Jinan University Professor Zhenjiang Zhang, Deputy Director of the Office of International Exchange & Cooperation of Jinan University Ms. Yu Wang, Dean of the College of Chemistry and Materials Science of Jinan University Professor Dan Li, Dean of the Research Institute of Robot Intelligent Technology of Jinan University Professor Ning Liu, Director of the Graduate Student Affairs office, Graduate School of Jinan University Professor Yuan Lu.

From Ukrainian side, the Institute was represented by Director of the Institute of World History of the NAS of Ukraine, Corresponding member of the NAS of Ukraine, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Kudryachenko Andrij Ivanovych, Deputy Director of the Institute of World History of the NAS of Ukraine, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor Soloshenko Victorjia Vitalyivna and Senior Research Fellow of the Chair of Transatlantic studies Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor Bessonova Maryna Mylokaivna.

Visit of Chinese delegation was scheduled within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative drawing more and more attention from Chinese government. This meeting was aimed at the seizing of the opportunity and find out the possibility of working together.

During the meeting Director Kudryachenko Andrij Ivanovych presented information about the cooperation of the Institute of World History of the NAS of Ukraine with other Chinese institutions and educational establishments. Among the main forms of cooperation there were named such as: mutual conferences, publications of monographs and conference proceedings, research materials, round-table discussions.

During the meeting there were discussed possible forms of cooperation of the Institute of World History of the NAS of Ukraine and Jinan University in the field of historical research and political analysis such as joint research projects, exchange of scholars. There were achieved a preliminary agree about mutual publication and further discussions about the scheduling of the scholar event such as round table or scientific conference.
